JPET (Job Placement Employment and Training)
JPET is a program that helps young people who are disadvantaged to get things together. JPET can give you the support and advice you need to find a place to live, work out your finances, stay at school, get a job or do training that suits you.
JPET is aimed at young people aged between 15 and 21 years and are homeless or might become homeless.
JPET may also help young people who are:
- Refugees
- Offenders
- Currently or formally in the care of the State

How can JPET help?
- Assistance with accessing safe and stable accommodation
- Allowing young people to set their goals and work at their own pace
- Accessing help with health and legal issues
- Accessing help with Centrelink and income support
- Assisting young people in staying or returning to school
- Accessing suitable training to help gain employment
- Providing post-support once the young person gets a job or takes up education or training.
How much does JPET cost?
Nothing! The program is fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Family and Community Services.
