Support to clients in the community is provided through funding from Disability Services Queensland Post School Support. The hours of support vary on clients needs and funding package. Support hours are through the day. Monday to Friday and do not include Public Holidays or school holidays, unless prior arrangements have been made on sigh up with MADEC

Support staff access the community with service users on needs that have been identified by relevant stakeholders which may include the following: to attend appointments, to assist service users with banking/shopping, to access recreational or leisure activities and network for inclusion in the community.

Support to service users who’s Post School package has been updated to adult lifestyle support, or service users who have this package. This is a funded package by Disability Services Queensland. The hours of support vary on service users’ needs and funding package. This package also includes the above.

Both packages may include assistance with daily living skills, household duties and vocational placement. Service users and relevant stakeholders have identified needs that are documented on Individual Lifestyle Plans.

MADEC also provide services for Disability Services Queensland funded packages including Family Support Program and Emergency Funding.

MADEC is committed to improving quality of life and enhancement of service users’ lives through integration in the community. Service user’s needs are identified and those wishing to seek employment are supported to achieve their desired goals.

MADEC focuses on being a service user driven organisation. Service users input always flexibility in a persons individual lifestyle plans.
